I have worked as a carer for 35 years with all kinds of disabilities. I worked at a 26 bedded unit for people with physical disabilities all wheelchair users. We used to have a mini bus to get everyone out and about. The times we were refused entry due to ignorance of others. Often told no room in here for wheelchairs. No disabled facilities at large venue`s. Thank goodness now for discrimination awareness we are now moving on.
