Abusing Facilities , able bodied using disabled bays,

Hi all
There’s nothing more annoying than people using and abusing public facilities. Toilets designed for mothers and babies being damaged, graffiti, bus stops, well you get the picture. But one thing that really winds me up, is the abuse of facilities designed for people with disabilities.
There are many people that find getting out and about difficult, and when there are no facilities to aid this, it becomes almost impossible for some, however most places now offer accessible parking, toilets and entry points. Parking is generally an issue due to limited availability of spaces, so when people that are perfectly capable of getting around, use these spots, it makes life very difficult.
Recently one of my colleagues stumbled across this exact issue. The owner of a Ferrari super car had decided that he/she was clearly above the law, and had every right to take one of only two disabled parking spots available. I can understand them wanting to keep their precious car safe, but using a spot provided for somebody, unable to walk very far, and doing so on a daily basis, takes the biscuit. I wonder how many people were unable to shop as a result.
People need to start realising, that in our civilised society we are all equal and abusing facilities is totally out of order. I say, slap them with a hefty fine and use the money to improve facilities for everyone!
