My story- I had a very dear friend who got in with the wrong crowd and started taking drugs he became addicted and started getting into trouble, I tried many times to help but we sadly drifted apart. A few years later i heard my friend was now in a wheelchair paralysed. I managed to get intouch with him and he told me he had an abscess on his spine and was told would never walk again.we stayed in touch over Facebook but later whilst I was working in a hospital I saw my friend walking with a frame in the physio department, I went over to talk to him and he told me he was determined to walk again and that this had changed his life and he had never been so happy, he had come off the drugs and met the love of his life and she has now had a baby, the morel of this story is that no matter what life throws at you, it is how you deal with it that is important, and as my friend proved even after this horrific thing happened to him he was happier than ever. He is still in a wheelchair but is now an amazing dad, partner and is still not on drugs. An inspiration.
